In-Character Information
Name: Prince Edward.
Series: Original.
Canon-Point: At the beginning of his story.
History: Edward here is a prince. He was born to the King and Queen of the ancient land of Ulumar - a pretty generic fantasy world, in a time of peace. The many races and monsters are living in a wonderful world.
So, Edward turned himself to study - especially magic. He learned the powers of old - the magic made by certain forbidden words. Practicing these words, eventually Edward learned how to use creatures and their 'real names' to mess with them. However, he really only learned this to help his kingdom. As an aside, his true name is ┷❤⊙✦☆.
However, one day, he accidently summoned an egg with his magic, and decided to raise it up. It turns out to be the egg of a dragon, a long-dead species. Also, dragons are the most dangerous of species. Even one, raised wrong, could destroy the world.
And, of course, Edward raised the egg wrong. When it hatched, it attacked with powerful magic - flinging him though space and time.
And then he was in Unova.
Personality: Edward isn't your normal prince. No, Edward is a naive guy, who's only really gotten into trouble with that baby dragon. He's not used to making mistakes, but he accepts it'll happen. You see, he's not the sort to get angry unless it's really, really serious. He prefers being cheerful to depressed, after all. Edward, however, is only book smart, and hasn't really gone out to explore the world. Which he's going to fix here, yes he is!
He's also a really friendly guy, who'll want to befriend everybody, and then take them all out for a drink or something. However, because of this, he is a little excitable, and he will be for a while. He's an optimist, and'll always try and fight another day.
Also, he's terrible with modern technology, seeing as it doesn't exist in his world... well, in his time. He can't use it at all, and will need a teacher probably. Or not.
Powers: As mentioned, Edward can manipulate creatures though the use of 'true names'. His main power is control and shapeshifting of himself and others. He can fully manipulate everything he knows the true name of.
Of course, in United One, other player characters probably won't be able to give their true names. He will be able to get it from his own Pokemon, though - though he won't be able to change their shapes, he'll be able to use it to capture certain Pokemon without using Pokeballs. This'll help because he sucks at technology.
He can also communicate with animals, because his kingdom does have to work with both humanoids and wild beasts. Though he doesn't know every single word.

First-Person Sample:
Hello? My name's Edward, of the Ulumar Kingdom. And I think I got attacked! By a dragon... [He looked from his Snivy, back to whoever he was talking to. He also gave the smallest of nods of the head.] Who looks a lot like this Snivy, now I look at him.
But, I'm not scared. I just want to know where this is.
Third-Person Sample:
Two days.
It had already been two days for Prince Edward, and he was already lost and confused. He'd made his way to the desert, after figuring out how to teleport to that giant glowing city.
And now, the sand was beating against him, and his Snivy had collapsed almost straight away. But still, he walked forward.
But then, he felt something crawling under his foot. Pausing, Edward looked around - before covering his eyes. Ah, this sandstorm... perhaps an Antlion was around here, or perhaps something more deadly. Looking down, he then saw a small orange thing. He kneeled down, as it tried to bury into his foot.
"'Hello?" he said, holding out a gloved hand. The creature, however, continued to try and bury itself.
...Oh. Edward gave a bit of a grunt, before picking it up. "What are you doing? You can't fit in there."
But the creaute continued to struggle. Help the two?
